Beauty Review: Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Litho
I purchased the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Litho a while back and it has become my absolute favorite.
I’ve used this product for the last 8 months and have completely neglected my other eyeshadows. This is the eye shadow of choice for me. It’s my go-to, my fall-back and my first-choice. If you can’t tell by now – I’m totally in love with this product.

The Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Litho is a blendable neutral trio palette that is buildable. If you’re planning on wearing this to work, have a lighter hand when applying the Ebony shade. Opt to line your eyes with the Ebony instead of swiping the shade over your lid for a classic look. Come happy hour, you can intensify the look by brushing the Wheat shade over your entire lid, then brush the Ebony along the lashline. Blend well so that there is a nice gradient. Finally, swipe the Hazelnut under your eyebrows and along the inner corner of your eye. Tightline your waterline with a dark brown color for a well executed look. I like to add a slight cat eye on top but the choice is yours. Voila – perfect sultry smokey eye for evening and natural classic look for day.
Can you see why I’m in love with this eyeshadow now? Smashbox developed a versatile product that is high quality and comes in a range of color selections. I’m more of a neutral girl so this trio works great for me. Try it – so worth it!

I have combination oily and dry skin. I’m oily in the T-zone and I have some dry patches around my cheeks. My eyelids tend to get oily throughout the day.
Smashbox says it’s a super blendable, velvety formula, highly pigmented, even color, with lasting wear.
From Smashbox’s website: “Our fab trios are all playfulness and color! Get rich, bold hues in just one swipe. Each includes 3 coordinated shadows—base shade, contour color and highlighter—so you’ll never wonder which shades to wear together again.”
The product has no smell. The texture of the eyeshadow is true to what the brand claims – velvety, highly pigmented with an even color when brushed on the eye. The formula is so pigmented that you really want a light hand when applying.
